New MSN/EdD for Nurse Educators

Through a partnership between the UA College of Education and the UA College of Nursing, we are now offering the MSN/EdD in Instrucational Leadership for Nurse Educators.  This innovative program combines online classes with weekend, web-assisted classes, to create a program tailored to the needs of nurses who wish to become nurse educators.  For more information, click here.

NEW Alternative Masters in Special Education

The College of Continuing Studies and the College of Education are excited to announce the launch of a new Alternative M.A. in Special Education (Collaborative Teacher Program 6-12).  This blended program will combine evening, weekend, and web-assisted classes, to allow students to earn teaching certification while they teach.  Click Here to learn more.

UA Chosen for OSHA Training Institute Education Center

The federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration has chosen The University of Alabama as a site for one of its OSHA Training Institute Educational Centers.

OTI Education Centers provide training in a series of OSHA-designed safety and health courses to private-sector and federal personnel. The designation of UA as a Region IV site will bring this key training closer to companies in Alabama, Mississippi and Tennessee.

The Bernard Osher Foundation Reentry Scholarship Program

The Bernard Osher Foundation Reentry Scholarship application is now available. Applicants must be an undergraduate part-time or full-time student currently accepted for admission or enrolled in a campus based program. Application deadline is July 1, 2008 - Click here for more information.
